Kevin Wall, Al Gore’s partner on the Live Earth concerts to benefit the environment, attended with his wife, Dr. Susan Smalley, and agreed to join our advisory board, as did Montgomery Norton, a prominent sustainability strategist based in Orange County.  Several bands and musicians, and comedian Leonard Robinson entertained.  At 8:30 PM, we turned out the lights in honor of Earth Hour, and turned ON the LED lights that illuminated the scale model Hollywood Sign constructed expertly by production designer Peter Gurski and board member Joe G., using solar power designed by Deep Patel.  Animator Dave Spafford of Spaff Animation sketched the concept art that became the basis for the model’s construction.

The Sign in lights looked beautiful and inspiring.

It was a great night.
